Bel’Œuf 2026 at Hotel Amigo
Every spring, Brussels quietly reminds the world why it is the undisputed capital of chocolate. This April, Hotel Amigo raises that bar - quite literally - with the fourth edition of Bel'Oeuf, an event that sits at the precise intersection of gastronomy, fine art, and philanthropic commitment.
From April 2 to 8, 2026, the Ambassadeur room of Hotel Amigo transforms into an ephemeral gallery unlike any other. Around forty of Belgium's most celebrated chocolatiers present handcrafted Easter eggs inspired by this year's theme: Plaisir en Mouvement - Pleasure in Motion. The result is a collection of edible sculptures where gears, fluidity, and the mechanics of movement become artistic vocabulary. Not Easter eggs. Chocolate manifestos.

The Artisans Behind the Vision
Bel'Oeuf was founded by Marc Ducobu - European pastry vice-champion, member of the prestigious Relais Desserts, and Hotel Amigo's own pastry partner. This year, he shares the spotlight with a guest of exceptional calibre: Christophe Morel, Grand Master chocolatier, winner of the Canadian Chocolate Trophy and first prize at the World Pastry Cup. Together, they anchor a lineup that also includes Pierre Marcolini, Jean-Philippe Darcis, Jan Proot of Delrey, Marijn Coertjens, and many others — a veritable who's who of Belgian chocolate.
Morel will go further than merely exhibiting. He will create and sign a monumental chocolate work, crafted exclusively for Bel'Oeuf and auctioned online via clicpublic.be from April 2. It is, by any definition, a collector's piece.

An Exhibition and A Charitable Act
Admission to the exhibition is €10, with every euro directed to Télévie - Wallonia's largest charity dedicated to cancer research. Each egg on display is available for purchase at €900 (tax deductible), delivered directly to buyers' homes. Since 1989, Télévie has mobilised over €265 million and supported more than 3,000 researchers. Buying a Bel'Oeuf creation is, in every sense, a beautiful gesture.
Easter at Bocconi: An Italian Table, a Brussels Address
For the first time, Bel'Oeuf extends its spirit into the dining room. Hotel Amigo's Bocconi restaurant will offer a dedicated Easter menu across the weekend and Easter Monday, including the traditional Pranzo della Domenica on Sunday, April 5. The culinary highlight? The long-awaited return of a signature recipe by Fulvio Pierangelini: Cream of Fava Beans and Red Shrimp from Mazara del Vallo — a dish that is at once deeply regional and timelessly refined. All Bocconi reservations over this period include access to the Bel'Oeuf exhibition, creating a seamless afternoon of taste and contemplation.
